Further, the UGC NET June 2025 application form is available from 16th April 2025 to 7th May 2025. The National Testing Agency conducts the UGC-NET examination twice a year (June and December).
To be eligible for the UGC-NET test 2025, an individual must have completed a master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 55% as an aggregate score.

UGC NET 2025: Application Process
To apply for the UGC NET test, individuals can follow these steps:
- Firstly, visit the official website: https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/
- Further, click on the UGC-NET June 2025 application form link on the official website.
- Now, click on New Registration and complete the registration form.
- Furthermore, now complete the application form, which contains the following details: basic personal details, educational qualifications, and a scanned copy of the document.
- Now, before the final submission, go through the final preview of the application form.
- Lastly, pay the application fees.
UGC-NET 2025: Correction Window
Basically, individuals can edit and make corrections in the UGC-NET application form by following these steps:
- Firstly, visit the official website: https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/
- Now, click on the correction window option link
- Furthermore, login using the application number and date of birth or password
- Now, follow the instructions and click on the agreement dialog box.
- Now, do the required corrections and further pay the additional fees.
- Lastly, save and submit the form.
Some New Changes in UGC NET Application Form 2025
From 2025 onwards, candidates can edit some sections of the UGC- NET application form. But there are some changes which cannot be done by the candidates: –

UGC NET: Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for the UGC-NET test, an individual must have completed a master’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% as an aggregate score
- Further, candidates who have cleared the state-level entrance examination are exempted from the UGC-NET exam.
- It is important to note here that UGC-NET is applicable for Indian candidates only. Other countries cannot apply for UGC-NET.
- While on the other hand, candidates who live in other countries but belong to India can apply for the UGC-NET examination.
- Furthermore, it is to be noted that there is no age limit in the UGC-NET examination but for the position of Junior Research Fellowship, the student must be below or equal to 30 years.
UGC NET: Exam Pattern
The UGC NET examination consists of 2 papers, i.e., Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 consists of 50 multiple-choice questions, while Paper 2 consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. There are 150 multiple-choice questions. The duration of the exam for both papers is 3 hours or 180 minutes.
