PhD in Computer Science is a Doctoral degree with a duration of 3-6 years depending on the university. Computer Science is the study of computers and computational systems, consisting of theoretical foundations, designs, developments and practical application. It is a broad field of study that involves algorithms, guides to make software, research on how software interacts with the hardware to compare and tell how well a software is developed and designed. 

The eligibility criteria for a PhD in Computer Science in India involves a master’s degree with an aggregate of 55% or more from a recognized university in computer science or a related discipline. Along with that, it also requires an individual to appear in entrance exams including UGC NET, CSIR NET, GPAT, IIT JAM, etc. These entrance exams are important and work as a final step to determine if an individual is eligible for PhD program.
