MTech full form Master of Technology. It is a 2-year postgraduate engineering degree which focuses on advanced knowledge, research, and specialization in the engineering field. While on the other hand, BTech is a 4-year undergraduate degree course. BTech can be pursued after the completion of the higher secondary education, i.e. class 12th under science stream from a recognized board. Here is the overall difference between MTech and BTech:
Parameters | BTech | MTech |
Level | Undergraduate | Postgraduate |
Course duration | 4 years | 2 years |
Focus | Foundational engineering principles | Advance concepts and research about the engineering principles |
Eligibility criteria | Completed class 12th under science stream with physics, chemistry and mathematics as the mandatory subjects and must secure at least 75% aggregate score. | Completed the bachelors degree in technology or equivalent degree from a recognized university and must secure at least 55% aggregate score. |
