To qualify for a PhD through the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering), candidates should keep a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent, usually an M.Tech or ME. Candidates with a master’s degree in science or mathematics can also apply for a few applications if they have a valid GATE rating. A Bachelor’s diploma in Engineering/Technology from a specific college will also be generic in some cases, especially if the candidate has a robust GATE rating and studies inclination. Candidates should meet the unique eligibility requirements set by the organization they may be using.
