What are the admission requirements for a PhD in India?

Admission to a PhD in India requires an individual to have a master’s degree in a related field with an aggregate of 55% or more from a recognized university. Candidates must also qualify the entrance exams like UGC NET, CSIR NET, GATE, or university-based entrance exam. Some of the universities also accept a bachelor’s degree with exceptional grades under NEP 2020. For the final selection, an individual also needs to submit a research proposal for the personal interview.
