NAAC stands for the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in Indian Education System. It is an autonomous body which was established by University Grant Commission (UGC) in 1994 to help in assessing and accrediting the universities and institutions in India. The main purpose of NAAC is to create a better understanding about the quality education which invites the students. The NAAC body has set standards which can be referred to by various education institutions for a check about their eligibility.
