PhD course duration is a minimum of 3 years to a maximum of 6 years, depending on the subject, topic and university requirements. Many universities also allow students to finish early with focused research, while some other universities take a longer duration for complex projects. Part time PhD can extend up to 7 or 8 years, while on the other hand, a full-time PhD course can be completed in 3 to 6 years.
