Eligibility Criteria: NEET 2024

There is a specific eligibility criterion to qualify for Neet aspirants: 

  1. Nationality: Indian nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals are eligible to qualify for NEET. 
  1. Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 17 years as of December 31 of the admission year whereas the upper age limit for general category aspiring students is 25 years. 
  2. Relaxation: A relaxation of 5 years is given to reserved category like SC/ST/PWD/OBC ETC
  3. Educational Qualification: Aspiring students  must have completed or be appearing in the 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as main subjects. General category students  must also acquire a minimum of 50% marks in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology), while the minimum percentage of 40% for SC/ST/OBC and 45% for PwD candidates.

Exam Pattern: NEET 2024

NEET is a proper pen-and-paper-based test which is usually conducted only once a year. The question paper of NEET Examination has total of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) which is further divided into three consecutive sections: 

  • Physics: 45 questions 
  • Chemistry: 45 questions 
  • Biology: 90 questions (includes Botany and Zoology) 

The total duration of the Neet Exam 2024 is three hours.
