About CTET 2026

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level exam conducted by CBSE to assess how well an individual can teach at various levels. To work as a teacher in Central Government Schools, students need to pass the CTET exams. Students that want to apply to be teachers in KVS, NVS, and other government institutions can also use this opportunity to do so.

More than 25 lakh people have already signed up for the February 2026 version of the CTET; it will be the largest teacher certification test in Indian history. Paper 1 will allow individuals wishing to teach Classes 1–5 to achieve their goal of becoming certified teachers. If an individual has passed both the CTET Paper 1 & Paper 2, they are allowed to teach Classes 1 – 8.
