What is the PhD admission process in 2025: eligibility, entrance exams, admission procedure, and top universities?

PhD focuses on original research work on a specific field. The eligibility criteria is a master’s degree with 55% or above. In addition, one must appear for entrance exams like UGC NET, GATE, CSIR NET, etc. After filling the application form, the individual appears for the entrance exam, is shortlisted, asked to submit research proposal, appear for an interview thereby enrolling themselves in PhD course.
