A typical outline for a PhD Synopsis will include; Title, Introduction/Background, Statement of the Problem/Objective(s), Review of Literature, Research Methodology, Expected Outcomes (or Conclusion) References. Additionally, many Universities request either a Timeline or Chapter Plan. As with all other aspects of academic writing, be sure to consult the University and Departmental Guidelines prior to preparing your draft.
