The full form of NAAC in education is the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, and it was founded in September 1994 for the performance evaluation of higher educational institutes by ensuring that they are following the prescribed norms set by NAAC. It works on a grading system, based on which C is the lowest grade that an institution can receive while A++ is the highest. The education institutes that rank with A++, A+ or A are credited for their excellent research, teaching and facilities. An education institution under the NAAC rating list is considered to have a higher value and attract more students.
