What is the eligibility and admission process for a PhD in Humanities?

Eligibility for a PhD in Humanities requires an individual to have a master’s degree in a relevant field (English, Pol Science, History) with an aggregate of 55% or above. A 5% relaxation is given to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories. The admission process usually includes a written entrance exam like UGC NET, CSIR NET, GATE and much more along with an interview where candidates are requested to present their research interests along with their research proposal.
