Based on the different gradings that an individual receives from the NAAC, the main difference between NAAC A++, A+ and A depends on the quality performance as measured with the help of a CGPA.

  • A++ (3.51 – 4.00): This is one of the highest grades received by any institution which determines outstanding performance across all the criteria, including teaching aspects, research, infrastructure, student support and institutional values. The institutions receiving this grade help in paving the path for more institutions to come.
  • A+ (3.26-3.50): This indicates an excellent performance but at the same time a scope for improvement. The institutions which are categorized under this usually have high standards in academics and administrations, as they are slightly below the A++ institutions.
  • A (3.01-3.25): This indicates a very good performance but requires improvement. These institutions which are categorized under this usually have high standards and maintain a strong quality but with greater room for improvement.
