The main difference between both degrees is that a PhD requires an extensive research project whereas a Master’s thesis requires only creative thinking and writing skills. However, there are some other factors which can make your choice easier too: whether you want to work towards getting funding for your studies or whether you want to focus more on theoretical aspects of your chosen discipline rather than practical ones; whether you prefer taking part in lectures or seminars etc.
