Earning a PhD is often seen as one of the highest achievements while often forgetting the journey one had to take in to be able to get there. The journey from High School to PhD is often seen as an amalgamation of hard work, planning, dedication and passion for learning. It requires a lot of patience to be able to reach there in a time frame of approximately 6-7 years.

Completing High School: Focus on the subject that you want to study deeply once your school is completed. Class 12 helps in building the foundation for what is about to come. For example, if you want to pursue an MA in Literature, try to opt for Arts with Language to help you in the future.

Earning a Bachelor’s Degree: This is the place from where your journey begins. Bachelors help you in determining whether the subject you have chosen is something that really interests you or if you want to take up something else in the future. It is also important to realize that making mistakes is okay.

Pursuing a Master’s Degree: This is a turning point in your academic career as this will determine your PhD Degree. You need to make a choice and stick to it. Gain specialized knowledge in the field while also engaging in Presentations, Dissertations, Publications and Research Projects.

Applying for PhD Programs: Reaching the stage you’ve been dreading can be exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. Make sure to use the opportunity and fulfill your original research work to gain expertise while also getting recognition.
