Is an Honorary degree valid outside the Home country?

An honorary degree is not a valid qualification for employment outside the home country. It may be used to show that you have received an award from a university or college, but it does not entitle you to use any post-nominals or academic titles. The degree is valid in the country where it is awarded. This degree does not entitle one to any legal rights such as registration with a professional body, but it can be used when applying for employment or academic posts. An honorary degree is not a substitute for a regular degree and does not entitle the recipient to practice their profession or use the title “Dr” in any country other than that in which it was awarded.
