There are lots of things that you can do to prepare for your PhD interview, but the best way to get ready is to practice. The key is to take what you’ve learned from all your research, and put it into practice during the interview.

The first thing to do is read up on the topic that you’ll be discussing in the interview. Read some good books and articles on the subject so that you know what someone else has written about it, and also so that you can tell them about your own research. This will help your interviewer get a sense of who you are as a person, and what sort of questions they might ask.

Reading books on related subjects can also help with other aspects of preparing for an interview. For example, if you’re applying for a job as an academic researcher in economics or finance, reading up on marketing or business strategy may help prepare you for questions about how these fields relate to one another.
